Danny Stoten

Danny is the founder and head coach of Lions Boxing and Fitness. He is supported at the club by a fantastic team of instructors.

Danny started boxing when he was 13 years old. He has boxed at Sidcup and District, Dagenham and West Ham amateur boxing clubs.

During an extensive boxing career Danny has boxed to a high level throughout the UK. He also boxed on the British team and represented England boxing internationally in Ireland, Belgium, Germany and in the USA on three occasions in Denver, Boston and Las Vegas.

Danny has won honours nationally and internationally. He boxed in the ABA championships on a number of occasions. He won the British Police Boxing championships two years running. In 1996 he won a silver medal in the World Games in Boston, Massachusetts.

Even in the latter years of his career he continued to perform at a high level. He won the WCB South East Light Heavyweight Title in 2009. In September 2011, aged 41 years, Danny won the IBA Super Middleweight English title. He defended this on a number of occasions over a two year period. He only recently retired as an undefeated champion having defended his title on six occasions. Most recently Danny won the EPSA Sports Achievement of the Year award for 2013.

Danny is now a qualified professional coach licensed by the British Boxing Board of Control.
